Hello,

I am having a problem with mail that is forwarded from an @t-online mail address to an address on the iredmail server (permanent forwarding). I tried with different destination addresses on my server with the same result.

The mails do not reach their destination. Forwarded mails do not appear in the inbox of the mail account to which they were forwarded.

When I forward the mails to a googlemail account, they appear in the inbox without a problem.

Are the mails somehow blocked by iredmail? Can I check that in some log file?

Kind regards,
Adrian

Re: (permanently) forwarded mails from @t-online do not reach inbox

I send with apple mail and/or sogo and the reaction is the same. I definitely have SMTP auth. set to "password" in apple mail. When I try sending an email to the t-online address from another account (say google) that is not on my server, it works fine.

I looked at mail.log and this is what it shows:

So the email is rejected due to "Sender address rejected: not logged in". As stated above, SMTP auth is enabled.

Re: (permanently) forwarded mails from @t-online do not reach inbox

The issue was solved by adding the IP address of the smtp server to

/etc/postfix/main.cf

at "mynetworks"

Can you please explain WHY that helps? big_smile

Please check this tutorial to understand what the error message (Sender address rejected: not logged in) means:
http://www.iredmail.org/docs/errors.htm … -logged-in

Re: (permanently) forwarded mails from @t-online do not reach inbox

I know that page already. As I said, I enabled SMTP auth. in my mail client. I do not understand why it did not help

Check Postfix document to understand why it works:
