Hi Zhan !
Hi there !

I'm planing to migrate from CentOS 6.7 ro 7 with a fresh installation.
Therefore a few questions are open.

1.) LDAP Design
At now our Root DSE is named e.g. "dc=OLD,dc=TLD"
Is it possible to import the "old" into a new Root DSE design called e.g. "dc=NEW,dc=TLD" ?

2.) Passwords
Our actually LDAP Passwords are crypted with SSHA.
Would there migrated 1 to 1 ?

3.) SOGo
I installed a fresh CentOS 6.7 & 7 test machine.
The  6.7 version (iReMail) has enabled SOGo, the version 7 din't.
CentOS7 with SOGo not supported yet?

4.) Licenses
In case of migration we are (plannig)  running 2 Servers with our Pro License.
One is the live, 2nd is the test (backup) system.
Is this a problem? ... could both of them run paralell ?

5.) Change my username
Plz contact me!

Sure.

*) Export all LDAP data to a (LDIF) file with command 'slapcat', then replace all 'dc=old,dc=tld' by 'dc=new,dc=tld' manually.
*) Install new server, use 'dc=new,dc=tld' during iRedMail installation.
*) Restore LDIF data exported on old server. we have a document for you:

With above restore procedure, passwords are stored in exported LDIF file, and will be migrated if you restore the LDIF file (successfully).

SOGo works on CentOS 7 with PGSQL backend, but the latest stable release 2.3.1 doesn't work with MySQL/PGSQL due to a (mysql) package ABI issue. But the nightly build works fine, we're waiting for SOGo-2.3.2 final release, then we can ship/enable it for CentOS 7.

Please don't run the license on test server for a long time, if just few weeks for migration testing, it's acceptable for me.
