SpamAssassin Mail Filter Daemon: disabled, see /etc/default/spamassassin
====

Hi,

I'm trying to reduce the spam received by my server and i've found that spamassassin is installed but disabled. Before to start the daemon i want to know if there is any other spam filter in the server used by IredMail to avoid any kind of problem.
How i can know if there is any other filter?. I've not installed any but i don't know if the old admin did it.

Thanks!!

Re: SpamAssassin is disabled

*) SpamAssassin (SA) is called by Amavisd-new, SA daemon is useless in iRedMail setup. So it's disabled.
*) iRedMail setups Amavisd + SpamAssassin for spam scanning, Amavisd + ClamAV for virus scanning.

SA will setup a cron job automatically to update official rules, so, yes.
