Hi,
Trying to connect to SoGO from thunderbird using the sogo_connector

Authenticated User Access
CardDAV URL: http://mail.mydomain.net/SOGo/dav/bob@m … /personal/

I entered the above details in the URL for addressbook(Remote) and it does not sync. Am I doing smth wrong?
Appreciate if any help can come this way.
Been having a bad day today. Sigh.
Thanks
Kevin

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

I've not used SOGo in a while - but I think its on httpS only, try adding the s to the protocol

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

Hi.
I did try adding the s to the https://
Still does not work sad

Even on Apples CardDav

Keep getting an error as follows :-

"Secure connection couldn't be established"

Will google around to see. If someone has dealt with this let me know.

@7t3chguy : What do you use for syncing contacts?

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

i think i might need to install ssl-snake certificates and try again the CardDav. I am assuming its cus I dont have proper ssl credentials.

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

got it. it works now
in case if someone ends up in the same position as me:-

url was wrong:-

http://mail.mydomain.net/SOGo/dav/bob@m … /personal/   (this was suggested by SOGo)

change to :-

http://mail.mydomain.net/SOGo/dav/bob@m … t/Contacts

it works now.

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

hi 7t3chguy,
oh. you are using the myroundcube packaging service?
interesting. i was considering it wasn't sure. was the installation a breeze.
the task list is on the repository page. It seems more kolab driven.
link = https://gitlab.com/kolab-roundcube-plugins/tasklist
Most likely will also try to get the myroundcube package service on.

Thanks
Kevin

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

Kolab would require you to setup yourself, myroundcube is
1) Install Plugin_Manager
2) Pay for Credits
3) Download Plugin
4) Upload Plugin
5) Click Enable

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

hi 7t3chguy,
i got carddav to work with round-cube.
now trying to caldav to work with roundcube(calendar).  i might consider getting a plugin manager, but prefer to keep it bare.
only if i can get the calendar to work then I have 1 interface for emails, contacts and calendar.

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

I don't use the plugins personally, I set them up for a client - and the Calendar specifically I had to get running without a CalDAV Backend. Sorry, can't help you there

Re: Connecting to SOGo ? Cant connect to SOGo

hi kmihalj,
yes. i could help you with that.
You already have a carddav server running on your iredmail(you can access it by visiting yourdomain.com/SOGo . So you only need to add a plugin for roundcube to access the carddav server.

Follow the steps on this page to install the plugin:-
https://github.com/christian-putzke/Roundcube-CardDAV

**Make sure to have the folder name 'carddav' and extract all contents in there. If its other name it wont work(from my experience)

Log into roundcube. Go to settings and then add your config details.

Username: youremailaddress.com
password: yourpassword

URL: http://yourdomain.net/SOGo/dav/bob@your … t/Contacts

Hope this helps. Let me know if need help
