====Mailserver is running fine, I just cant connect using Mozilla Thunderbirth (All other clients I tried (=eM Client and RoundCube) worked)

Settings Thunderbirth found automatically:

protocol address port ssl auth
-----------------------------------------------------------
imap server.com 143 STARTTLS normal password
or
pop3 server.com 110 STARTTLS normal password

smtp server.com 587 STARTTLS normal password

However, it just says username and password are wrong (which them arent since same credentials works on other clients)

And yes, I found this article Configure Thunderbird as mail client but either its outdated or Im too dummy to use it

Re: Mozilla Thunderbirth not accepting credentials

Did you try setting to port 993 for IMAP (995 for POP) and 587 for SMTP?

Kind regards,

Jernej

Re: Mozilla Thunderbirth not accepting credentials

Settings found by Thunderbirth are all correct.

Mar  8 17:26:57 mail postfix/smtpd[21166]: improper command pipelining after EHLO from xxxxxxxx.inet.fi[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]: QUIT\r\n

*) Make sure you're using FULL email address as login username.
*) Since all other mail clients work well, this error makes it look like a Thunderbird bug (sending improper EHLO command) or caused by misconfigured Thunderbird setting. Are you running the latest stable release of Thunderbird?

Yes, I'm testing with latest version 31.5.0 and I also tried to reset Thunderbird settings file.

It also seems that Thunderbird randomly gives could not detect settings -error depending what settings server credentials I have tried before that try

Re: Mozilla Thunderbirth not accepting credentials

I have no idea at all, because server works well. Don't have experience with this Thunderbird issue.

Re: Mozilla Thunderbirth not accepting credentials

Could you help double check account settings in Thunderbird? make sure it's using FULL email address as login username. And make sure it uses correct server settings (port number, TLS).
