Hello!  I absolutely love iRedMail.  I recently started using it and it has been spectacular!

I do have one issue:  I've added my iRedMail email accounts to my gmail account (Settings -> Accounts and Import -> Add another email address you own).  It adds the account with the account via TLS on port 587.  After verifying the account and whatnot, I can send emails from the account through my gmail account (which is perfect!); however, I cannot receive emails from the account in my gmail account.

I am attempting to migrate all of my data from another hosting service, but I can't migrate my more mission critical emails over to the new system until I can get gmail to be able to receive the emails from the email accounts in iRedMail.  My old email accounts work just fine - they're connected through port 465 via SSL and any emails that go to those email addresses get pulled into my gmail account.

My biggest problem is that I have no idea where to look first to solve the issue.  I am more than willing to look up and respond back with any logs or other information you might need to help me - I just didn't know what logs would be relevant.

Thanks!

If other mail servers send email to you, they will connect to the server listed in the DNS MX record, so it won't connect to Gmail.

Well, I mean, the emails aren't meant to go straight to the gmail account.  Gmail pulls the emails from my mail server via the credentials I gave it for my account via TLS or SSL.  SSL doesn't seem to work (looks like it timesout), but TLS was able to connect and authenticate fine from gmail.

Re: Gmail Account Import Issues

Sorry about the misunderstanding.

If Gmail tried to pull from your server, there must be some log in Dovecot log file (POP3/IMAP server), so please check it (/var/log/dovecot.*) and extract related log.

By the way, not sure whether Gmail works well with self-signed SSL cert.

It repeats those two log entries once every minute.  Also, I do have an SSL certificate that I paid for.  I'm not sure how to set that up, though.  I was able to set it up for RoundCube, but that's as far as I got.

Thank you so much for your help thus far.  I really appreciate it!

And for what it is worth, the mail server is: green.ulanders.com

Re: Gmail Account Import Issues

The log shows rip=127.0.0.1 (remote IP), so it's not related to Gmail.
