You can find them in iRedMail installation directory, e.g. /root/iRedMail-x.y.z/iRedMail.tips

Re: how to : ldap as address book on microsoft outlook

you need config iptables and open 139 ports.

the below is example, the user account is :  www@example.com

(mail.18demo.com)
base DN:
ou=Users,domainName=18demo.com,o=domains,dc=18demo,dc=com

Bind DN:
mail=www@18demo.com,ou=Users,domainName=18demo.com,o=domains,dc=18demo,dc=com

filter
(&(objectClass=mailUser)(accountStatus=active))

3. choose Internet directory service(LDAP)
4. insert the servername (for me, i set it to IP of the server)
5. checked this " this server requires me to logon"
6. Fill the username with --> mail=www@testserver.com,ou=Users,domainName=testserver.com,o=domains,dc=testserver,dc=com
dont frget to insert ur passwd
7. Click "More Settings"
8. Leave by default,
9. Click "Search"
10.  Choose "custom"  and insert with --> dc=testserver,dc=com

yes,  when you compose email,

suggest 10 step the search custom : ou=Users,domainName=testserver.com,o=domains,dc=testserver,dc=com

would be better.

Re: how to : ldap as address book on microsoft outlook

@NarinNil, Remove/comment out this line in OpenLDAP config file (slapd.conf) and restart OpenLDAP:

disallow    bind_anon

P.S. Please ask questions in new topic instead of appending in others, non-related topic.

Re: how to : ldap as address book on microsoft outlook

Hi all,

I have some problem regarding address book. When i compose mail in outlook , in To: when i type email and press ctrl+K , it completes the address , which is fine. But in the compose window , when i click on To button and select the ldap address book, it doesn't display the addresses. I have to type some character and enter to get the addresses. This feature is available in Exchange.

i used following to get address book in outlook

Bind dn
mail=bikesh@irdtest.com,ou=Users,domainName=irdtest.com,o=domains,dc=irdtest,dc=com

search base

ou=Users,domainName=irdtest.com,o=domains,dc=irdtest,dc=com

Can you help me on this?

Thanks

Cool! Got this to work in latest 0.9 version with outlook 2013

Question is, how can I get the LDAP address book to list all GAB addresses instead of having to search for them in Outlook Address Book?

Re: how to : ldap as address book on microsoft outlook

It depends on how Outlook uses GAB. If it downloaded all contacts as a local copy, it should be fine.

BTW, you're digging a 4-year old topic, i will close this thread, please create a new topic with your own question.
