Topic: Unable to send or receive mail after removal of backup/mysql/folder

We exceeded the storage on our server today and was informed that we had 65gb stored in the /var/vmail/backup/mysql/ directory.

I downloaded the the most recent folder of backups and then deleted all of the contents but since then it seems mail can't be sent or received at all. There is no error, it just doesn't seem to get delivered. We have tried external email clients like Gmail and they can send ok to our server without an error but we just don't receive it.

Is it necessary to have the backup folders in place for mail to be sent and received?

Re: Unable to send or receive mail after removal of backup/mysql/folder

I restarted everything like postfix, dovecot, fail2ban, apache and mysqld and all of them didn't have an effect.

I've just rebooted the server and it's worked fine now.
