I migrated servers from an old Debian 6 setup to a Debian 7.6 setup.  I am able to send and receive email, no problem.

But how do I get my old email to show up?  I uploaded my whole old vmail directory, but it doesn't show up.

Re: Migrating email?

Did you import mail accounts from old server?

Path of mailboxes are stored in SQL/LDAP, and mail messages are stored on file system.

Oh, okay... I thought just the file system would be enough.  I have the LDAP backups, so I'll try that.  Thanks.

Re: Migrating email?

The wiki page seems to assume I have Redhat/Centos, but I'm using Debian.  I know how to stop the LDAP server, but I'm not having a lot of luck finding the relevant .conf file.

OpenLDAP config file is /etc/ldap/slapd.conf on Debian/Ubuntu.
