Any help appreciated !

Was working on a standard iredmail on debian Squeeze before, and really would love to switch to OpenLDAP now !

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Apache was not installed during iRedMail installation. Could you please show us output of below command?

# dpkg -l | grep -i 'apache'

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

command didn't return anything hmm

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Now I made some tests :
- install latest with WHeezy 7.5 KO
- same scenario with official source.list from debian website KO
- install apache2 then latest iRedmail KO
- install 0.8.5 with debian 6 KO ( said new version is available, then exit iReMail setup )

Install Ubuntu 14.4 Server, everything worked as expected at 1st try ...

I think there is a bug / script issue with latest release and debian wheezy 7.5 ...

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Cannot reproduce this issue.
Can you successfully install Apache packages manually? e.g. apache2.2-core, apache2.2-common.

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

yep, no problem for installing apache 2.2
And Apache IS installed, there is simply nothing in it except and index.html file  ( /var/www )

Do you think I should try installing apache 1st and then launch iredmail install script ?

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Still got same error with apache installed before installing iRedmail hmm

Looks like an old issue never fixed, and that I'm not the only one with this issue

here on debian 7.4 with IRM 0.8.6
http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic6246 … hours.html

and also on IRM 0.8.6 news release post :

Issue never fixed so ... bad news sad

Is it possible to let me login to your FRESH server and try to install iRedMail? Just want to figure out what the problem is.

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Hello,

I have got the exact same issue as clovis86 on my Server (also OVH). I can install iRedMail without problems, but the /var/www folder ist just empty afterwards. I tried everything, I installed Apache2 before executing Setup -> didn't work, I ran the Setup on a clear system -> didn't work. After each try I installed a new fresh Debian, now it is my 10th try but still no result. One of my first tries was to install Apache 2.2, PHP5 and MySQL + PhpMyAdmin and if I do this I get an iRedAdmin Folder into the Document Root but it is also empty.
If you have any solution for that issue, please let me know.

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Do you have file /etc/lsb-release on your Debian? If yes, please rename it before installing iRedMail and try again.

Re: 0.8.7 install on Wheezy keep failing every time

Wow, I can't believe it. I sat the whole night, trying to get iRedMail to work and after a simple renaming of a file it works perfectly. Thanks so much for your help!
