Store: MySQL
Linux: CentOS 6.5

Question: How are attachments stored?
A) In the MySQL database as a binary object

B) in a unique directory associated with the email message which would be in the DB

Neither.

iRedMail uses Maildir format by default, one email is stored in one file, this file contains mail header, mail body and all attachments sender attached in the email.
