Hi,
I am sorry if it was already solved, but I am unable to find my case:

I am trying to set up throttling.
I want to throttle only OUTGOING traffic - only OUR CUSTOMERS.

I set up throttling according to information from this forum and FAQ but only INCOMING traffic is throttled so this is exact opposite then what I want smile

Could anyone please help me?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Throttling

Could you please show us your throttling settings? If you have iRedAdmin-Pro, please capture a screenshot of the throttling page. Like this one:

Re: Throttling

You enabled both sender and recipient throttling, that's why.
If you "want to throttle only OUTGOING traffic", please keep "Enable sender throttling" and uncheck "Enable recipient throttling".

Re: Throttling

OK, I unchecked Recipient throttling. How could I recognize if it works? I set limit 4 mails in 3600 seconds for testing but I was able to send more then 4 (actually 8 in 60 seconds then I stopped trying).

Re: Throttling

Are you running Policyd or Cluebringer?

- If it's Policyd, please follow this tutorial: http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … Throttling
- With Cluebringer, throttling is enabled by default. But please show us output of below command:

# postconf smtpd_recipient_restrictions
# postconf smtpd_end_of_data_restrictions
