====I'm trying to install iRedMail but I need to update my RH Rel. before
After installation my need is:
connecting to an external domain in IMAP or POP3 (extdom.net)
giving it user login and password
storing eMails from that domain/user on mySQL
is this possible?
I don't need to manage new Domain or eMail accounts but only to connect with existing credential and save messages/attachements on mysql
for example think @gmail or @yahoomail
In this case I would set iRedMail with gmail connection settings (imap.googlemail.com) giving the iRedMail system my username and password for my gMail account... then, the "only" thing I need is that iRed (with dovecot/postfix) store my eMail in mySQL DB.
is this possible? if yes, how?
thanks for supporting

Re: Storing messages from external domain

iRedMail stores mail messages in plain file, not in SQL db.
You need DBMail instead: http://www.dbmail.org

Also, how to integrate DBMail in iRedMail: http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … QL.backend
