Re: can send but not receive email

Do you have correct DNS records (A/MX) point to this new server?

Re: can send but not receive email

In my MX, I have:
hostname: MYDOMAIN.COM
priority: low
mail server: MAIL.MYDOMAIN.COM

when setting up iRedmail, I enter MAIL.MYDOMAIN.COM as the hostname, and then enter MYDOMAIN.COM as the first virtual domain.

In my A records, I have
*.MYDOMAIN.COM points to my host which includes the main server
mail.MYDOMAIN.COM points to the host which is the mail server

Is this correct? The other problem I have is that I must enter WWW.MYDOMAIN.COM rather than MYDOMAIN.COM as it will not show my website otherwise.

Thank you!

Re: can send but not receive email

*) A record of mail.mydomain.com AND mydomain.com must point to your server IP address.
*) MX record of "mydomain.com" must point to hostname "mail.mydomain.com" (or "mydomain.com" since you have a A record for "mydomain.com" too), not an IP address.
*) For 'www.mydomain.com', you must point 'www' to server IP address.

If you show us your real hostname/domain name and server IP address, we can help verify it with DNS lookup tool like "dig" command . I don't think these info is sensitive.

Re: can send but not receive email

Please find all related records attached.
The IP ending in 5 is the website hostname (which I turn it off sometimes) and the IP ending in 127 is the mail server which is always on.

BTW, in the iRedmail.tips file, the DKIM record is empty. Though I use the amavisd-new showkeys command to see the key (dkim._domainkey.domainname.com.) Also, when I write amavisd-new testkeys, it says invalid public key not available.

Thank you.

Re: can send but not receive email

1: You'd better ask support from your DNS provider.
2: What does "*.zummunxxx.com" mean?
3: What does 'www.zummunxxx.com' point to IP xx.xx.xx.5? Is your web site hosted on another server, not iRedMail?
4: You don't have DNS record for DKIM at all.
