Topic: Debian Wheezy Stable

Has anyone had a chance to play with wheezy stable? I'm having some major annoying spam issues that the current filters just don't get. Maybe cluebringer has a clue.

Anyone try with the latest daily release?

Re: Debian Wheezy Stable

I'd really like to know if it is save to upgrade my iRedmail 0.8.4 server to Debian Wheezy?

Re: Debian Wheezy Stable

I upgraded to Wheezy but the config file dovecot.conf is all changed now. Does anyone have a way to fix that?

Re: Debian Wheezy Stable

Hi @brandon,

You should check headers of those spam emails to see whether spam filter was working or not.

The latest iRedMail-0.8.4 works with Debian 7 rc1, still have no chance to test Debian 7 stable release (slow internet connect during traveling), sorry about this. But i guess it works fine.

@bayardis i also upgraded to Wheezy, everything went fine except for the dovecot, the /var/log/dovecot.log shows:

Any idea on how to fix this? I'm using MySQL not LDAP

Thanks in Advance

Re: Debian Wheezy Stable

I got everything running now, but i got a little Problem with the permissions in /run/dovecot/dict it is always

srw------- 1 root    root      0 May 10 01:09 dict

i have to change it manually each time the server reboots.

I tried adding in the /etc/dovecot/conf.d/10-master.conf the following:

service dict {
  # If dict proxy is used, mail processes should have access to its socket.
  # For example: mode=0660, group=vmail and global mail_access_groups=vmail
  unix_listener dict {
    mode = 0600
    user = vmail
    group = vmail
  }

but with no effect, any ideas?

Re: Debian Wheezy Stable

*) Please add it in /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf, iRedMail doesn't use /etc/dovecot/conf.d/ at all.
*) Here's sample Dovecot-2 config file used in iRedMail:
