==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version: 0.8.4
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): LDAP!!!
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: FreeBSD 9.1

I have chosen LDAP backend, but MySQL gets installed as well.
If a sql db is needed anyway for some reason, can I have postgresql instead?

Thanks

Re: Why do I need MySQL whena I want to have OpenLDAP backend?

OpenLDAP is used to store mail accounts, SQL server is used to store addition application data. e.g. White/blacklist records used by Policyd/Cluebringer, webmail user preferences (Roundcube webmail).

Unfortunately, you cannot choose to use PostgreSQL as SQL server when you use OpenLDAP as backend. Sorry.
