Topic: Help needed: Migrate iRedMail to FreeBSD or other Distros

Hi, all.

As you know, iRedMail is just a small shell script set, it's easy to make it work on other Linux/BSD distributions, and we need your help to migrate iRedMail to FreeBSD now.

What we need to know on FreeBSD platform:

  • The best way to install packages required by iRedMail. Maybe most will need to compile/install from port tree.

  • Location of configuration files

Packages required by iRedMail: http://code.google.com/p/iredmail/wiki/Main_Components

Note: Maybe we can replace pysieved by dovecot-managesieve in FreeBSD, need your confirm. smile

Maybe i missed something, please feel free to ask your questions by repling here. smile

PS: If you are interesting in migrating iRedMail to OpenSuSE/SLES, we are please to do it.

Why replace pysieved?  It's in the ports?

It's ok to use pysieved, but if we have dovecot-managesieve in port tree, it's better to replace pysieved by it. smile
