Hi there,

We're running our company's mailserver with iredmail base as mentioned above. all looks very well, teh server handles 80 users over 150 addresses and 30 to 50k mails a day.

just one little thing is strange, i'll get the following error in dovecot.log for several users on several OS.

imap(******@*******.***): Info: Disconnected: Too many invalid IMAP commands. bytes=1179/9249

This is not related to an single user, but to more then 5 differnt users.

What could cause this problem?

Any ideas?

Re: Too many invalid IMAP commands.

Seems your clients sent invalid IMAP commands with their mail client programs.
Do you know what mail client they use? e.g. Thunderbird, Outlook, Apple Mail.app, iPhone/Android/BlackBerry/etc.

Re: Too many invalid IMAP commands.

Hi!

This special user is using Apple Mail on MacOS 1.7 but the others are using Thunderbird (and they're not complaining)

Maybe this has something to do with shared folder or IMAP acl?

Re: Too many invalid IMAP commands.

Do you have any firewall between mail server and mail clients? Here's a reference:
