Topic: MX Record for webhost4life if hosting and mailing on different Server

Hi

I have recently installed Iredmail On cent os on mY Oracle Virtual (Cent OS 5.5). I am new to Iredmail as well as Linux. Internal mail are wokring fine and even I can send mail to any domain externally but I cant receive mail from any domain except internal and even I didnt get logs for them.I have hosting with webhost4life . I just want to know how to add MX record in it. My domain is hosted somewhere else and I am configuring its mailing on Internal system i.e my VM
My domain eg:abc.in

My Entry on hosting CP:

A : 14.140.xyx.abx
mail : my System IP (its differnt from A record )

MX entry

10    my system ip   mail.abc.in

Please let me know what should I add here

It's better to contact your DNS provider to get it correctly configured.

Looks fine. But again, it's better to contact your DNS provider to get it correctly configured.

You said :

How you have bind your public IP to your mail : my System IP? Are you routing through your router or using any firewall? Check there if somewhere pointing is missing.
