Topic: partitions?

I know this may not be an issue of iRedMail. But is there any benefit to a particular partition layout on a new install? Just put everything in one?

anyone see any benefit to use separate RAID volumes for /home and /var/spool/mail?

Thanks!

Re: partitions?

Just some points for your reference:

- The default /var/vmail/ directory will take large disk space. So it's a good idea to separate this directory.
- Use LVM is a good idea. If your mail accounts grow fast and take more and more disk space, you can easily expand your disk storage with LVM.
- Hardware RAID should be the basic requirement.
- If you have many emails in Postfix queue, /var/spool/postfix/ will take large disk space.
