Topic: iRedMail suddenly stops receiving the emails

hello,

I have noticed something wired and I cannot understand it.
The server suddenly stops receiving the emails and needs to be restarted in order to get working.

below is the ver info, but need a help to find out the iRedMail ver and log file location.

- iRedMail version: (need a help to find out the iRedMail ver
- Linux/BSD distro: CentOS 5,6 64 Bit
- Any related log: need a help to locate the log file (which one)

All services are UP and running when the server stops receiving the emails, so reload the server fixes the problem.
The server is up and running ca 2 weeks and than it stops receiving the emails...

Check /etc/postfix/mysql/*.cf or /etc/postfix/ldap/*.cf to find out iRedMail version number.
Related log files could be: /var/log/maillog, /var/log/dovecot.log, /var/log/iredapd.log.

I have now checked the location: /etc/postfix/mysql/*.cf
and here is the files located in mysql folder:

catchall_maps.cf               recipient_bcc_maps_user.cf  sender_login_maps.cf      virtual_mailbox_domains.cf
domain_alias_catchall_maps.cf  relay_domains.cf            transport_maps_domain.cf  virtual_mailbox_maps.cf
domain_alias_maps.cf           sender_bcc_maps_domain.cf   transport_maps_user.cf
recipient_bcc_maps_domain.cf   sender_bcc_maps_user.cf     virtual_alias_maps.cf

but I could not find the iRedMail version in these files...

Regarding the log files, I can send it via Email if possible ?
there is nothing in the log files but received, sent emails etc...

Oops, my mistake. Can you try finding iRedMail version number in /etc/dovecot.conf or /etc/dovecot-mysql.conf?

P.S. Next release of iRedMail (v0.7.4) will create file /etc/iredmail-release to store version info.

If you cannot find related log, please try below steps to get it when it happened again:

- When it happened again, send an email to your mail account from external mail server, e.g. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! mail, etc.
- Try to find error log in logs files mentioned in previous reply.

and I will check the log once it happens again and will let you know....

But if I can upgrade-update the iRedMail please let me know...

Upgrade tutorials are available below, it's highly recommended to upgrade it to the latest version.

and no I have not checked the link you sent me with this issue, will do it now,
but it could be the same issue I have now...

is the issue on the link you sent me fixed in latest iRedMail release or I have to go trough the steps after upgrade ??

does it means that I need to upgrade in following order:

0.7.2 -> 0.7.3
0.7.1 -> 0.7.2
0.7.0 -> 0.7.1

first upgrade from 0.7.0 to 0.7.1 and so on ??
can I upgrade perhaps from 0.7.0 directly to 0.7.3 ??

PS: keep in mind that I am running iRedAdmin v1.3.0 (MySQL) ...
so I assume that I can just jump over the iRedAdmin upgrade.... ?

Yes, one by one.

iRedAdmin-Pro-MySQL-1.3.0 is the latest version.

now I have upgraded iRedMail from 0.7.0 to 0.7.3

but should I manually change the iRedMail ver now or ?? because the version is still:

and now I cannot receive the emails at all...
since I am using vmware I reversed back to the snapshot and it`s working, so I think I will
order an upgrade if possible ?

when will the release 0.7.4 be available ? should it support AutoLearn for spam filter ?

and in that case when it comes out I will order an upgrade because I will not mess up the system....
