Topic: mysql & ldap running on localhost

Hi,

Is it ok to run ldap and mysql on localhost only not on all the interfaces for security reason. I checked all the services and they access  mysql and ldap on localhost only. Let me know if we need to run mysql & ldap on any other interfaces except localhost. One thing I can think of is if we run ldap on localhost then addressbook won't work on outlook.

Looking forward for your suggestion.

Thanks,
Bikrish

Of course you can run MySQL and OpenLDAP on localhost only. As you said, address book won't work on Outlook, but still works in Roundcube Webmail.
