Topic: [SOLVED] Migration to new server

Hello,

I would like to migrate me iRedMail (Ldap) 0.6.1 to a new server, based on iRedMail 0.7.2.
I found the tutorial http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … ail.Server and it seems to be a relatively easy task.

But: Does anyone know if there are any further changed in ldif data needed because of the iRedMail upgrade?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Achim

You'd better check all upgrade tutorials since iRedMail-0.6.1.

As i checked moment ago, there's only one change since 0.6.1:

Re: [SOLVED] Migration to new server

Thank you, that worked well.

I've copied all emails by rsync and unfortunately some accounts are ok, but some are missing their complete emails. Do you have any idea?

The paths (checked that in iredadmin-pro) are fine.

Thanks in advance.

Achim

Re: [SOLVED] Migration to new server

As I checked the /var/vmail directory, I found this:

drwx------  7 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 18 17:42 .
drwxr-xr-x 15 root  root  4096 Jul 17 15:37 ..
drwx------  4 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 18 17:24 <domain_a>.net
drwx------  3 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 18 17:42 <domain_b>.net
drwx------  3 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 18 18:06 sieve
-rwx------  1 root  root   229 Jul 17 16:39 sync.bash
drwx------ 20 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 17 16:56 vmail01 <-- old one
drwx------  3 vmail vmail 4096 Jul 17 15:38 vmail1 <-- new one (empty)

What created the two domain directories there und why did that happen?

Re: [SOLVED] Migration to new server

I found it:

It seems that in the past was an update to the "postconf virtual_mailbox_base" setting.
All accounts I created with the newer version of iRedAdminPro were fine and the older ones had wrong path prefixes.
I fixed all by hand and now it seems to work fine.
