Policyd is not running.
Any error log when you start policyd service?

alfa# ./policyd start
Starting postfix_policyd_sf.

In /var/log/maillog  ------>

Re: After installation not starting policyd... (FreeBSD)

Seems HOME directory of policyd user doesn't exist. Please create it manually.

Re: After installation not starting policyd... (FreeBSD)

I just had this same issue on a CentOS box. Manually creating /home/policyd and chowning it to policyd did fix the error.

However, I am confused as to why this would happen.

Why, after almost a year of running correctly would this all of a sudden happen? There was no /home/policyd directory before and email was working fine.
