Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Hi Zhang,

I have found a lot of SASL attacks in my mail.log

It could be useful to enable the sasl filter by default in fail2ban's jail.local, with iRedMail

example :

[sasl]
enabled = true
filter = sasl
action      = iptables-multiport[name=postfix-sasl, port="http,https,smtp,smtps,pop3,pop3s,imap,imaps,sieve", protocol=tcp]
           sendmail-whois[name=postfix-sasl, dest=root]
logpath     = /var/log/mail.log
bantime     = 3600
maxretry    = 5
ignoreip    = 127.0.0.1

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Hi fredo,

Could you please create a new forum topic for further discussion? I have some questions for you:

- Could you please post related log of SASL attacks?
- You forgot to post the [Definition] of SASL attack log.

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Hi Zhang

I have checked my logs further, it seems that these "SASL attacks" are already detected by the postfix.iredmail jail, so it might not be useful to add an SASL jail.

(The SASL [definition] is in the /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/sasl.conf that comes with fail2ban)

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

I would like support to policies for user passwords with openldap, for example ppolicy or something like that.

Thanks.

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Hi @Jariel06,

Still no plan yet. You have to try it yourself first. But i'm pleased to integrate it if you get it working and share the detailed integration steps in this forum.

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

I think that an interface to manage the postfix mail queue may be interesting...

No plan for this, sorry.

Do you really need this? Did you use other tools for queue management before?

Well... Up to now I've used the postifx plugin for webmin and I can continue to use it also in future. I've found somewhere on internet a script that help to remove from postfix queque some specific message. A gui tools with filtering options may be very useful.

Why?

I agree, I also use the webmin plugin. Something integrated in iRedAdmin could be helpful...

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Hello,

Would like to have roundcube plugins such as "calendar", "enterprise address book", "mark as junk", "purge" etc enable by default.

Attached a screenshot of roundcube @ OBS

Post's attachments

Roundcube_Plugins.JPG 124.62 kb, file has never been downloaded.

You don't have the permssions to download the attachments of this post.

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

Dear kn,

No plan to ship third-party Roundcube plugins. Sorry.
"Mark as Junk" is available in Roundcube, you can enable it manually.

Then iRedMail should be called:

"A ZERO COST, NOT fully fledged, NOT full-featured mail server solution"

What do you think about that?

Dear kn,

I don't think it is possible to ship iRedmail with every plugin there is for every software in iRedmail.
Where's the problem to manually download and enable a plugin you want in Roundcubemail?
BTW: I don't want the plugins you want, so I'd be angry if they were enabled by default.

It's enabled by default. You can manage it with iRedAdmin-Pro or LDAP/SQL command line tools.

Sorry, i don't quite understand this request. Maybe you need bcc you described below?

invisible wrote:

It's per-user sender/recipient bcc, already implemented in Postfix.
You can manage it with iRedAdmin-Pro or SQL/LDAP command line tool.

Re: Wishlist for iRedMail-0.8.0

@kn

I don't think ppl like to have all plugin of roundvube installed ( http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Plugin_Repository )
Some plugins conflict with each other, some a not maintend and some have bugs.

The best think todo is self to choice with plugin you need and install it. For the good plugin it is only 10min work.
