Hi Team,

I have successfully deployed Iredmail with active directory 2012R2 and outlook 2013 as clients. Everything works well. Now the users have noticed something, if they send an email to a non existant domain, instead of send it and getting a bounce back saying non existant domain, outlook just keeps that email in the outbox.

Is this a feature of Iredmail or am I missing something please?

Cheers,

Rajbps

Re: Outlook 2013 with Iredmail

It's a feature implemented by Postfix ("reject_unknown_recipient_domain" in /etc/postfix/main.cf). It lookups recipient domain name by DNS query first to make sure it's an valid one.
