Topic: unable to login with my password

- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 0.9.6
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: CentOS 7
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): LDAP
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):Apache
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? No
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.

I start a fresh install in CentOS 7 with iredmail 0.9.6 today.
But after install and reboot  , I cant login to iredadmin with the password which I set during the installation.
I check the iRedmail.tips , make sure the password is correct (Password: xxx)
and I`m pretty sure there`s no typo.
is there anyway to change the password ? or the password should not contain any spaces ?

Can you login to webmail with same account/password? If not, please turn on debug mode in Dovecot first, then try again (with webmail).

No, none of the web app can login.

Try to remove white spaces in your password and try again. If you need to reset password, check this tutorial:

I have no tools list in that page to modify LDAP backend password. so I  start a  new site , and set password without spaces , and it`s ok to login now .
maybe you should consider to add invalid password chars warning messages during the install process ?

iRedMail installation wizard shows this:

Do *NOT* use special characters in password right now. e.g. $, #, @.

But doesn't mention white space. Fixed moment ago.
