I just recently upgraded iRedAdmin Pro to     v2.5.0, and Iredmail to 0.9.6 from previous version

Since i installed iRedMail (like a month ago) i haven't needed to log to mysql, now while making the upgrade i needed to, i checked the tips file for root password, and it wont work, i've double checked it, manually typed it, i can log in to other mysql accounts, root seems to be the only one that i can't login.

I keep getting ERROR 1698 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost'

I'm i missing something?

Re: Wrong mysql password

Not sure why your mysql root password doesn't work. But you can reset it by following this tutorial:
