Are you building a high mail traffic mail server? lots of webmail users? if not, either is ok.

SOGo works with both Apache and Nginx.
Awstats works with Apache 2.2, but not Apache 2.4 and Nginx due to miss mysql authentication module. In upcoming iRedMail release, Awstats will use a htpasswd file to store accounts, that means it will work with both.

I plan to have at least 100 mail boxes.

If Awstats is required for you and you don't want to do it manually, then better choose Apache.
If you prefer Nginx and don't mind to install Awstats manually, you can go Nginx.
