First of all, I'm new to this so please bear with me!

My set up appears to be working fine internally - iredmail receives mail without any problems but I can only send email using internal clients.
Roundcube and Thunderbird both send mail without an issue, however if I try to send email from my Thunderbird client at work I get the following error.

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
5.7.1 <[192.168.1.126]>: Helo command rejected: ACCESS DENIED. Your email was rejected because the sending mail server appears to be on a dynamic IP address that should not be doing direct mail delivery (192.168.1.126).
Please check the message recipient "person@madeupdomain.co.uk" and try again.

I've absolutely no idea how to fix this!

Help please?

Re: Unable to send mail from remote mail client

You must enable SMTP AUTH in your mail client. Reference:

Re: Unable to send mail from remote mail client

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

It was a real school boy error on my part - I was using port 25 instead of 587. Everything is flowing as it should now.

Thanks for the help
