Topic: How to configure login Roundcubemail with "User name"

- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Debian 8.5 x64
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): LDAP
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Apache
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? no

Cannot configure login Roundcubemail with "User name" instead of "Email address" using instructions in post http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic1006 … dcube.html

I don't have parameter $rcmail_config in my /opt/www/roundcubemail/config/config.inc.php. Now i have installed 1.2.0 version of Roundcubemail.

Can You help me?

I do this. Now can login by name without domain-name with mail-clinet (thunderbird and etc), but cannot login by web browser to Roundcube. Error message:

I have these settings have already been fulfilled. Access to web-mail with browser without the domain name still fails (see screenshot).

Maybe Roundcube not even trying to perform validation name and password if I enter login without a domain name? Perhaps there is some setting controls the behavior of web login-form and allows to disable the analysis of the input string for the presence of a domain name in entered login-string?

Please check Roundcube log file (it logs to Postfix log file) to see what the real login username it constructed.

by the way:
i found a problem with starting clamav-daemon after upgrading packets from repositories
As resolution i found that i must remove/comment "AllowSupplementaryGroups" from clamd.conf

It's a known "bug" of ClamAV.
