Hi,

I received the following message after running the bash upgrade_iredapd.sh from iRedAdmin-0.5/tools#.
I cannot seem to login to anything now, I think I broke my iredmail.

Going through the documentation again, fortunately I don't use the email accounts but sucks not to have them working.
I enjoy iRedmail but upgrading still gives me a lot of issues. I will learn it sooner or later, just a lot of trail and error. Lots of errors, so any guidance is appreciated.

I've purchased support requests in the past. As a system administrator I really want to figure this out.

Thanks a loyal promoter of iRedMaill

Any error in /var/log/mail.log, /var/log/dovecot.log, /var/log/iredapd/iredapd.log?

Re: Message to seek support after upgrade.

[qoute]Any error in /var/log/mail.log, dovecot.log and /log/iredapd/iredapd.log[/qoute]

dovecot.log was empty and iredapd.log was also empty.

Mail log was not.

Re: Message to seek support after upgrade.

In main.cf, replace 'proxy_read_maps' by below one, then restart Postfix service:

proxy_read_maps = $canonical_maps $lmtp_generic_maps $local_recipient_maps $mydestination $mynetworks $recipient_bcc_maps $recipient_canonical_maps $relay_domains $relay_recipient_maps $relocated_maps $sender_bcc_maps $sender_canonical_maps $smtp_generic_maps $smtpd_sender_login_maps $transport_maps $virtual_alias_domains $virtual_alias_maps $virtual_mailbox_domains $virtual_mailbox_maps $smtpd_sender_restrictions $sender_dependent_relayhost_maps

Re: Message to seek support after upgrade.

mail.err seems to have stopped logging error after the postfix changes to main.cf.
I am looking around at other logs.

Please feel free to point out specific log commands.

Thanks for you help.

Re: Message to seek support after upgrade.

I had to stop postfix, fail2ban, and Sogo services. The logs failure was pushing my CPU to 90%, so I stopped them for now.
Mail services should be stopped completely unless I missed a service?.

Do you have these 2 files?

Default settings in iRedMail is:

relay_domains = $mydestination, proxy:mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql/relay_domains.cf
relay_recipient_maps =

BTW, you should read the log file first if it doesn't work, try to understand what the log saying.

Re: Message to seek support after upgrade.

Yes I see the to files in that location.

From what I can tell from the log, it's seems to be looking for those files in the postfix folder instead of postfix/mysql.

postfix/error[3608]: warning: mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_relaydomains.cf i

I think a lot of different parts are configured incorrectly in my various attempts.
For now I will just have to live without email, good thing I use gmail.

Once I have the funds, I'll shoot a support request your way.
I would re-install everything from scratch but I don't really feel like doing that.
Worst case scenario I host my email elsewhere and point MX records.

Not attempting anymore upgrades, I have another server running iRedMail 0.9.2 will no problem.

Thanks for taking the time to help me. It's appreciated.
