Topic: receive email question

Hello,

I have some "issue" receiving the emails, and the problem is:

If someone send me the email FIRST time ever, or I sign up on one or another web page out there also FIRST time, it
takes around 15-30 min to receive the email which is configured on the iRedMail...

so I tough it could be a lot of traffic on that web page, and I tried to use my business email and than I received the email
in 1 min... so the problem could be on the iRedMail....

Any idea ?? this is not a first time every time a new email is sent from someone IF it`s a FIRST email ever sent towards
the domain name on the iRedMail server it takes 15-30 min before I receive it...

And if the same email is send second time etc.. than it arrives in a min....

any idea ??

Thank You

Very probably you have greylist active in postfix-policyd.conf

is it a good idea to disable it ?? I am asking because of the spam emails... ?
could You write the command for enable-disable it so I can check ?

Re: receive email question

It's *NOT* a good idea to disable greylisting, it's really a spam killer.
But if you still want to disable it, here's steps:

Re: receive email question

ok, but is there any other ways to "speed" up first time "receive" ? it`s very slow it takes a time...
as I will not disable it since it helps to prevent the spam...

No. Works as designed.
