Topic: How to convert LDAP backend to MySQL ?

Hello,

I need to convert an actual production iredmail server with LDAP backend (0.60-rc1), to the MySQL backend.

1) Is it possible?
2) If positive, does a step-by-step guide exist?

3) Or maybe Zhuang could be interested in doing it for us? How much would it cost to have a flawless migration?

TIA

Alberto

YES. But there may be some troubles:

- Password migration. Because iRedMail stores SSHA hashed password in LDAP, it's not possible to migrate to MYSQL.
- Mail list. iRedMail with MySQL backend doesn't have builtin mail list support, you have to install mailman or similar programs instead.

Not yet. You're the first one who ask for this.

Would you mind sharing us why you want to migrate from LDAP to MYSQL?

To be honest, i didn't migrate from ldap to mysql before, although i believe it's easy for me to achieve this.
