I saw department and rank fields in mailbox table in the mysql database.
There's any way to edit those fields ?
There's any way to ADD a field ?

iRedMail and iRedAdmin-Pro don't use this field yet, it was a historical reason that we have this sql column. We MAY use it in the future.

What's your purpose to use it?

I want an empty field to enter notes, void date, alternate email for password recovery. etc

You're free to add new columns. But maybe better add a new sql table and not touch default iRedMail sql tables, this way will be easier for you to upgrade iRedMail in the future.
