Topic: How to Conduct a Proper Backup of the iRedMail Server

Dear All,

If we want to backup the iRedMail server and be able to restore both user accounts and emails, what directories and files should we backup? What is the procedure to restore?

Below is the required information regarding our iRedMail server.

==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release):  0.7.0
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:  CentOS 5.6
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):  LDAP
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Apache 2.2.3

Hi, Zhang, besides the files and folders mentioned in the documentation, do we need to backup other files or directories, such as /etc, /home, /var/www, /var/lib, and etc.? Thanks for you advice!

iRedMail will generate same config files, so not necessary (except your own modifications).
