We are a CRM company.  We currently have a email component to our product that downloads emails to a database from the clients existing email server (and sends them back too). We are looking to possibly replace our own solution (which currently saves the emails to a database) with iRedMail.

My question is...

1) Is iRedMail a good option to sync emails with an existing email server?
2) If not, does anyone here have any suggestions? We also looked at Nylas sync engine but have crossed it off the list as it looks "over engineered" and complex to maintain.
3) Can emails be sent in iRedMail by adding records in the database?

Thank you!
