Topic: Disable pop3s = 995 and use pop3 = 110, which is configured ???

- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL

I want to occupy the port 110 in the configuration of the outlook that my clients have configured the port , the issue is that iredmail default assigns port 995 which I think is correct but I need to disable it to not affect my users , could help me please! !!, regards

If you don't want to use 995, then just don't use this port in Outlook. Or, block it in iptables firewall.

But I have to set something in dovecote or postfix ???

Disabling a service could be done in many ways:

*) disable it in the software
*) block the traffic in firewall
*) ...

Dovecot has setting 'protocols =' to define the network services (imap, pop3, sieve, lmtp), then enable secure connection for them with 'ssl = yes' (offer secure connection, but insecure ones are allowed) or 'ssl = required' (no insecure connection at all). It doesn't have simple syntax in config file to disable a single service, e.g. pop3s (995). Reference:
