Topic: iRedMail.sh Choose your prefer backend

I am using Freebsd8.0.

When I run iredMail.sh I get to the option to choose my backend.   The choices are OpenLdAP and MySQL.

when I try to choose MySQL using the down arrow on my keyboard it just will not let me.   Instead it just skips ahead and goes to the next option in the installer.

Anybody else have this problem?

Use 'SPACE' to select item, not ENTER.

Re: iRedMail.sh Choose your prefer backend

ZhangHuangbin, thank you but it was not that I was using enter to select the option.  I was trying to select the option with space bar but using the arrow keys on to select the option.

When I push down on the arrow key it would go to the next configuration prompt.  I was finally able to select it by using the arrow keys on my number key pad.

Maybe this is because I'm using Windows Virtual PC.

No problems any more! big_smile

Why not choosing VirtualBox which is better than VirtualPC

You're right.

I believe this is a real bug because I am having trouble using menu for when you slect your back end then the install options.   It even happens when I'm not using VirtualBox/VirtualPC.

It depends on your ssh client. SecureCRT was reported to have this issue.

I was using it from the console.

I had similar problems when pressing End. It skipped to the next page.
