Hello,

Can anyone point me in the right direction or detail how to create a read-only iRedMail system?
Basically, I want to:

  1. Import / Archive Old e-mail Accounts.

  2. Said e-mail Accounts should be read-only, allowing no changes.

Thank you!

*) How do you do "import" or "archive"? If you don't allow modification, just disable the applications or modules/functionalities which can modify them.

*) IMAP protocol supports ACL, and it's implemented in Dovecot IMAP server.

It needs to be a setting in the system, because some users also access the archived accounts via various e-mail clients.
I tried to set the directories to read only after importing the accounts, but this resulted in errors.

Yes, I tried this already without success.
Can I pay someone here to create a step-by-step guide for creating read-only accounts?

Basically, this is the setup:

  1. Employee is terminated or leaves the company.

  2. All e-mail from said employee must be archived.

  3. The archived mailbox must be read-only. This means that no matter which client the account is accessed with, the data cannot be modified in any way.
