Hi,

I've read some posts like this one: http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic1233 … se-dn.html , which is more geared towards iRedAdmin. We have a similar issue, I mean some other applications will use this LDAP server, and uid would be a more reasonable attribute for user RDN. BTW, today I did some tests and edited the create_mail_user_OpenLDAP.sh script, and replaced mail with uid, and it did create the user with no problem. Also, I could login successfully to the new account by an IMAP telnet session.

My question is: would it be safe to continue with this set-up? Both iRedMail and iRedAdmin-wise?! Are there any other places which I should configure to complete the job?

Thanks for your help, and also thanks for this nice software.
