Hi, I have installed iredmail and was wondering if I could use the ldap users created by iredmail (i.e. Mail Account) to authenticate services in Moodle. Is there any possibility or plugin available as moodle only allows posixaccount binding.

Since you're trying to Authenticate Moodle, you'd have to ask on their side of things, iRedMail can provide SASL or IMAP authentications along with few more obscure ones

Re: using iredmail ldap mailLists for Moodle or Group Filter

iRedMail doesn't use objectClass=posixAccount for mail user, so if it cannot use other objectClass, i'm afraid you cannot make it.

By the way, LDAP query filter is flexible, i think Moodle should request certain attributes, and don't hard-code which objectClass it requires. Bad use case.
