I've recently installed a new instance of iRedmail and am connecting to an imap account via Thunderbird.  Everytime I've done this in the past it autodetects STARTTLS on both the incoming and outgoing ports (143, 587), with authentication as 'normal password'.  This time it's detecting the smtp STARTTLS but for IMAP, it's showing port 143 but with no STARTTLS.  I've tried manually changing it to 993, SSL/TLS but this times out.  If I try to proceed with normal and port 143, I get a warning from Thunderbird that I'm using an unencrypted connection.

Can anyone suggest where I should be looking to try and locate the source of the problem?

Please ignore.  I fixed it (firewall issue - apologies!).
