Hi -  I am having a dickens of a time restoring my vmail database. I am also very tired so its probably simple. I am logged in as root. I su to postgres user and I am denied access to the /var/vmail/* folder so I cannot execute the proper command. I try to pipe into the postgres user and it fails. Any help is appreciated. TIA.

Copy backup SQL files from /var/vmail/backup/ to a folder which 'postgres' user can access, and set proper file permission.
