Topic: ClavAV 0.98.5 Update

======== Required information ====
- iRedMail version: 1 0.8.6
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 12.04.5 LTS
- Related log if you're reporting an issue: ClamAV Updates
====
I'm getting the daily log message below and have for quite sometime:

--------------------- clam-update Begin ------------------------
Last ClamAV update process started at Thu Nov 20 23:01:01 2014

Last Status:
    WARNING: Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED!
    WARNING: Local version: 0.98.1 Recommended version: 0.98.5
    DON'T PANIC! Read http://www.clamav.net/support/faq
    main.cvd is up to date (version: 55, sigs: 2424225, f-level: 60, builder: neo)
    daily.cld is up to date (version: 19659, sigs: 1267776, f-level: 63, builder: neo)
    bytecode.cld is up to date (version: 242, sigs: 46, f-level: 63, builder: dgoddard)

---------------------- clam-update End -------------------------

Do I need to ignore this? Will ClamAV eventually be updated when I do my weekly "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" calls? Do I need to manually update ClamAV? What's the best practice?

Re: ClavAV 0.98.5 Update

it all depends on Debian official apt repository. If new version is available in official apt repo, you can upgrade it with 'apt-get' command.
