Hello, I have been having trouble setting up SASL with Dovecot. Ive never done this before and I am doing my best to learn, but I honestly cannot find anything on how to solve the repeated error "fatal: specify a password table via the `smtp_sasl_password_maps' configuration parameter"

How do I fix this and properly enable SASL? Would someone be able to help walk me through this?

Sorry, i don't understand your situation. iRedMail has SASL enabled in Postfix/Dovecot by default, it should work out of box.

About 'smtp_sasl_password_maps', you can read Postfix manual page to understand what it's used for:
http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html# … sword_maps

May i know what your original purpose is?
