Topic: email alias in same domain but global address book does not appear

======== Required information ====
- iRedMail version: 0.8.7
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): LDAP
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu 14.04.1 server LTS
- Related log if you're reporting an issue:
====

I added an email alias to some users using the attribute "shadowAddress" and I login in RoundCube with both addresses.
The problem is that with the alias does not display the global address book.

In the forum I read that if the domain is different the search does not return anything (http://www.iredmail.org/forum/post16075.html#p16075), but in my case the domain is the same.

Is this normal?

Re: email alias in same domain but global address book does not appear

It's better to always login with the primary address (not the ones listed in shadowAddress). Because we hard-code LDAP dn in some places, e.g. base dn used to query global ldap address book.
