The latest stable version of phpMyAdmin (phpMyAdmin-4.2.6-all-languages) only support mysql version 5.5 or superior. The current version on centos 6.4 is mysql-server-5.1.69-1.el6_4.x86_64. Please update the upgrade tutorial (http://iredmail.org/wiki/index.php?titl … le_release) to reflect this issue if you consider it appropiate.

Thanks for your remind. I added a note in the section of upgrade tutorial:

Since phpMyAdmin-4.2.3.0, it enforces the minimum PHP (5.3) and MySQL (5.5) versions.
