Just as I had with iRedMail 0.8.5 p7zip was unable to install, i went and did it by hand instead, went back and ran
iRedMail.sh it started trying to install p7zip again and failed
Well this time i new it was already installed however i thought a check would be made.
But right now I have gone to the length of removing it from packages_freebsd.sh
It does seem like the 2nd and 3rd of january they changed the port of p7zip
I dont know if there is any specific configurations I need for p7zip to function with any of the other ports please do let me know.

Also noticed that the conf files for iredadmin, roudcube & awstats were missing
none of the aliases were setup.
Even after several attempts the SSL seemed to not function at all, even if I went and created them myself and naming then correctly.

also got: /etc/rc: WARNING: failed to start amavisd.

With these problems I tried to go back and install iRedMail 0.8.5 on another server but that seemed unsuccessfull as I can not
seem to find the place where the version number is checked.

Well I do hope someone can help me here.

Re: FreeBSD install issues

Don't try old versions of iRedMail, they don't work on FreeBSD.
The latest iRedMail-0.8.6 works for me here, both MySQL and PostgreSQL backends.

I will make a clean system and try again.

Re: FreeBSD install issues

What's the error message above the one you pasted here in terminal? You missed the real useful error message.

Re: FreeBSD install issues

It's okay we chose to switch to a system with a little more stable packs so for now it will be on centOS and it now running with no issues and everything is fine, now just thinking about upgrading to pro version.
