Topic: Newbie setup

Hi everyone,

New product to me.

I'm behind a firewall and need to know what to open - smtp clearly, but what else?
Guessing 25, 80, 443? in and out

Many thanks, I'm also on the hunt for some new 'post' install doc - ie what to do next

For SMTP: 25, 465 & 587
For POP3: 110 & 995
For IMAP: 143 & 993
For HTTP: 80 & 443
If you want external SSH port 22

* 465 is not used, because SMTPS is deprecated. Please use port 587 (SMTP over STARTTLS) instead.
* Insecure POP3 (port 110) and IMAP (port 143) are disabled by default, please use POP3S (POP3 over TLS) and IMAPS (IMAP over TLS) instead for secure connection.

It's recommended to use port 587 (SMTP over TLS, submission) to send email, use POP3S and/or IMAPS to access mailbox, you know, secure connections. Please force your clients to do so if you don't have existing mail users with historical mail client settings.
